Husky Injection Molding Systems, a leading technology provider to the plastics processing community, hosted a one-day Husky World Tour event in Santa Fe, Mexico. The event was attended by more than 70 business leaders from throughout Mexico and included insightful presentations delivered by Husky and industry experts, engaging discussions, and networking opportunities that armed attendees with the latest information about technology enabling a circular economy and the importance of effectively responding to changing trends in the consumer packaging market.

“Husky’s Mexico World Tour event was a great opportunity to demonstrate our strong commitment to customers in this region,” said Haim Za’afrani, Husky’s Vice President, Sales, Rigid Packaging. “Our focus is on supporting both existing and prospective customers in this dynamic market. This event allowed us to open a dialogue that sparked many meaningful conversations with customers to gain insight into their specific needs and learn how we can provide innovative solutions to help them achieve their long-term goals.”

Feedback from attendees was extremely positive with some comments including:

“Excellent content and great organization,” Alanna España, Envases Universales

“Do not stop doing these types of events,” Ana Galindo, GEA Process Engineering

Over the last several years the market in Mexico has changed rapidly, with consumers demanding more diverse, sustainable, premium packaging. In response, Husky has been developing increasingly flexible, digital solutions that help its customers to be more competitive by enabling differentiated packages, with a reduced environmental footprint, that are brought to market faster. Recent technologies introduced by Husky to satisfy this need include its HyPET® HPP5e system, Next Generation Operating Model and NexPET™ mold.

Since entering the market more than 30 years ago, Husky has built solid relationships and established a strong presence in Mexico. Today the company maintains a broad local footprint, with an extensive spare parts inventory, service technicians, call center experts and sales force to provide customers in the region with the most responsive service and support. Moving forward, Husky plans to continue investing in this region to provide customers with solutions that not only maximize productivity, efficiency and part quality, but also help to improve the design, sustainability and functionality of packaging.
